I am an applied microeconomist, and most of my research explores questions about regulation of food and agricultural industries, the impacts of such regulations on producers and consumers, and implications for agricultural sustainability. Many of these research projects relate to the regulation of product quality or production processes, including food safety, food labels including labeling of genetically engineered (GE) and non-GE foods, and animal housing.
